+ 04.Jul.06 PMN Top 10 For June

Listen to Accident Hash #159
The other day I had this idea hit me like a ton of bricks. We have talked about doing this lots of different ways for a long time and it went no where, so I’m going to do it this way.Starting this month I’m going to count down the Top 10 Songs from the Podsafe Music Network for the previous month based on podplays. This is data I have access to and I figure it will be good for the listeners AND the artists. So look forward to it the first week of every month.
This is compiled directly from the Podsafe Music Network database. I have a report that pulls back the data and I’m just presenting it. Nothing else to putting together the list. It’s from the data.

- 10. Geoff Smith – Not On the Radio
- 9. DJ Eric Hill – Gut Feeling
- 8. Black Lab – See the Sun
- 7. Death Cab For Cutie – Title & Registration
- 6. Danko Jones – First Date
- 5. Lee Coulter – Booty Voodoo
- 4. Black Lab – Ectasy
- 3. Panic at the Disco – The Only Difference Between Martyrdym and Suicide is Press Coverage
- 2. Geoff Smith – No More Summertime Blues
- 1. Brother Love – Summertime
July 4th is upon us and it’s time for everyone to declare your media independence!!
Also, take the time to remember ALL the people who have fought, died and been injured fighting for our freedom here in America. Every time you see a flag flying take a moment to realize that there is a lot of blood, sweat and tears behind being able to fly that. NEVER forget that!

Hey CC,
Great show, but I was perplexed by something – you were saying how bad it was that Big Media play the same songs all the time, then you take the songs that are played most on podcasts – and play them again!
Maybe you could do a ‘10 least played’ , or ‘10 newest’, or ‘10 with the longest titles that aren’t all by Panic! at the disco’…. just something to mix up the playlist in unexpected ways.
Whatever you do, I’ll be there…
