I’m back from vacation and full of energy and excitement to get a new show out and here you go with nothing but new artists on Accident Hash! Thanks again to Dan for stepping in for me while I was gone. Hope everyone dug the shows.Sunset LightingFeatured on this episode:

I’m really excited about the state of music and podsafe artists right now. Every day I’m discovering new music and it’s top notch. The PMN is overflowing with great music for you to check out.

Also, kudos to bill for their Podcast Payback 2! Love it!

If you are so inclined you can dig me at PodShow+ or dig this show.

Finally, I hope to see many of you at the Podcast Expo this year. If not, I’m sure there will be plenty of photos, video and audio for you to laugh at. *grin*

Now if only we had a better search engine for the PMN, something like a Pandora, AmigoFish, or YES.com. Anything! There’s so much good music, and that’s the problem - there’s too much of it!

    Hi,

Tell Dan Blue Oyster Cult are from New York. I think in the last show he was looking for Ozzie bands he knew and thought they were ozzies, but they’re not

    Cheers,

I listened to podcasts on my phone (a S-E 750i). With shows 166 and 167 the mdeia player crapped out and wouldn’t play those podcasts. Re-encoding with LAME solved the problem, but was wondering if you had done anything differently when shows 166 and 167 were encoded. Show 168 played fine without re-encoding.

I will have to check with Dan on how he encoded the files. I know he doesn’t use CastBlaster when he does them. Thank you for the heads up. Cool to know you listen on the phone!

Re: the comment about speeding from listening to music…

In the early ’90s “Stigmata” and “Burning Inside” by Ministry would do it for me. That and “Head Like A Hole” by Nine Inch Nails.

Nowadays, it’s songs by [munk], Danko Jones, “Lying in Wait” by Uncrowned (had to be careful when listening to “INFECTION”, natch). I think De La Vega also does it for me.

We may need to create a support group for people in situations like this. “Home Fry Speed Demons Anonymous”?

Dan: “Hi, I’m Dan, and I’m a Home Fry Speed Demon.”
    HFSDA Group: “Hi Dan!”

[…] The artist I’m linking today is Jenny Dalton who I first heard on a recent episode of Accident Hash. Beautiful voice, more than a little Tori Amos influence and is described thus: […]
