Listen to Accident Hash #169
A little bit different. A little bit laid back. A whole lot of great music. Today’s Accident Hash is dedicated to my lovely wife Laura in celebration of her birthday. When you’ve got the microphone you can do things like this so how could I not do it?Featured on this episode:

Thank you to everyone who on such short notice gave me an audio clip when I got the idea to do this. And thanks to Adam Curry for mentioning it on his podcast as well. Not sure who told him, but the incoming messages certainly caught me off guard. I have a feeling though that I’m going to get a bunch more due to the time shifted nature of podcasting. We shall see!

Dude… that is so NOT Evo Terra. I listen to 5 of his shows every week. I know his voice. But I won’t hold that against ya… great show and Happy Belated Birthday Laura!

I just checked with Evo and it isn’t him for sure, but he did admit that it sounded like him so I don’t feel as bad.

    I wonder who it is.

[...] I thought it would be fun and recorded a special Accident Hash for her. The idea came to me earlier this week and I figured why not right? If you want to go straight to the file and listen it’s here. [...]

    Hey C.C. -
The voice of the Earthlink endorsement you played was mine. It was a snippet from my podcast.

I mentioned on one of my episodes that Earthlink was setting up free muni wifi in parts of New Orleans and getting slammed in the blogosphere. I came to their defense.

I was commenting on listener feedback from a guy who was a volunteer in New Orleans after Katrina, and he e-mailed me to thank me for pointing out the wifi access so he could send messages to his family while he was working down there.

Not only was Earthlink helping victims of Katrina, but they were providing an important service to the rescue organizations in the area. The snippet you played was a piece of my rant.

Best to the Chapman family, and Happy Birthday, Laura!
