Last night I got an IM from Chris with a link and him saying “Happy 200th!” I had no idea what it was going to be, but I’m still smiling! My favorite part is all the shots of the artists. That’s why I got into it.
November 25, 2006 will always be a special day to me as that night I was in Boston, Uncle Seth was in Toronto and we were all rocking in Second Life at the Virtual U-Turn Cafe.
Hit the gym this morning and it gave me a big energy boost so I figured I’d harness the energy and crank out a new Accident Hash full of new music goodness. Did I really just write that? I think I did. Anyways, it’s got new tunes that I’m psyched for you to listen to. 206-888-4274 for all your audio comment needs and desires.
Every Friday the hippest independent musicians from all over gather in London to perform at JazzFly and if this one night’s line up is proof of what it always sounds like call me impressed! I’ve been told they will be recording them and pushing out a JazzFly Podcast which I’m looking forward to hearing!
It’s Thanksgiving time here in the US and that means I can finally play holiday music for you. All of the music tonight comes from the Podsafe Music Network where I’m hoping a whole new batch of artists will upload holiday tunes this year. Last year at this time we had very few tunes to choose form and the independent music community really stepped up with great tunes. I’m looking forward to more of them this year!
I hope that you and your family have a happy and safe holiday weekend.
Curious if a holiday tune is in the public domain or not? The link I talked about on the show can be found here. If there are others, please let me know.
Please remember that if you have a special holiday message feel free to call it into the comment line at 206-888-HASH (4274) and get on over to Go Daddy and save 10% with code HASH1.
Fresh from London is a special episode featuring the artists who played at PodcastCon UK! There will be more content from the event at PodcastConUK2006.BTPodShow.com as well so be sure to check it out and subscribe to the feed for instant delivery of the content.
Also, please be sure to check out The Rookie as i talked about on the show. It takes a couple of episodes to get going, but I’m completely addicted. Scott Sigler is THE man!
Jumping a plane to London EARLY in the morning and wanted to leave you with an Accident Hash to keep you busy while I’m kicking back some pints and eating some fish & chips with all my mates. Can’t wait to see some home fries at PodcastCon UK!
And mark those calendars. November 25th the opening of the Virtual U-Turn Cafe with live music from Uncle Seth and then December 12th at Harpers Ferry in Boston David McMillin live!! I’ll be at both and hope to see some of you there.
New tracks from two damn cool artists today. RaykoKRB and Black Lab sent me tracks to play for all you Accident Hash home fries so I figured why not only play music from those bands today? Old fashion radio double shot right? Makes me laugh to say that, but it’s still all good.
Uncle Seth is going to help me open up the U-Turn Cafe Second Life later this month and I had to take a picture in front of the cafe with the poster I made wearing the shirt Jay made for me.
Oh, and rumors are circulating that there might be a very special opening act as well, but I need to confirm that first.
David McMillin is a true singer songwriter. Traveling the country almost non stop and playing gigs all along the way he has built an ever growing fan base the old fashion way. His last CD “Chelsea Walks” is in permanent rotation for me so I was excited when we worked out a time to sit down and discuss the new album “Outlast the Day.”
We walk about everything from favorite books, to his creative process to who his dream dinner table would be. Raw, laid back conversation and some great music as well from the CD.
Brand new tracks from the likes of Allison Crowe and David McMillin are the highlight of today’s show. Make sure you get out and vote tomorrow if you are in the US. It’s important so be sure you get it done!!
All new PodShow coming this week. The preview pix I’ve seen of it are pretty damn cool. I’m looking forward to checking it out in action. Accident Hash has a page so check it out and see what it looks like in a few days from now.
Don’t forget all that saving goodness at GoDaddy. 10% off your order with the code Hash1.
