+ 29.Mar.07 Spring is in the Air

Spring has sprung in Metro-West Boston. That means the grill gets fired up, the lawn gets cleaned up and new music gets to rock out. So many new tunes today from all over the place. New voices as well which really makes my day!

Don’t forget that on April 1st, do your part to help by buying a copy of Ancestor in print!

I’m also very excited about next weekend’s PodCamp NYC which is going to be a good time. I also played the promo for PodCruise Miami which is already looking like it’s going to be a great time!

Hah, you have no idea how many musical instrument shots there are going to be with this baby! Karen is already considering a maximum decibel policy for all toys every time she sees me near those tiny pianos and drum kits at Toys’r'Us. :-D

Thanks for the good wishes my friend, seeya in NYC!

    Cheers,

OK, I totally suck. We met briefly at the PME last year (I had the anti “W” pin on my bag), and it has taken me until NOW to listen to Accident Hash. And it’s AWESOME!

You can thank Twitter for this. Since I’m following you, and you posted the episode, I clicked over and checked it out! All hail the Twitter!

Thanks for having an awesome show, and giving all these great artists a place to shine!

Thanks so much for playing orange is in on your podcast. You have a terrific show. New CD is out in July and you’re at the top of the list to receive one of the first copies. All the best from Texas.

I’m *so* thrilled to hear that you played orange is in! That is just fabulous - and that is one of my favorite songs of theirs! Can’t wait to get home tonight so I can listen to the show!

    Hey C.C.

Just to let you know Bloc Party is actually quite popular on itunes.
I was shocked when I heard you say you had them.
Well just though I would tell you.
    :)

    Thanks Mike.

What a great podcast. I was listening as usual in the Bangkok traffic and was impressed with “One night under your skin” when, gobsmacked, a NEW artist called Sandie Shaw? As soon as she started “Puppet on a String” and rolled that “r” it was unmistakeable: I was a kid in 60s London when that was a hit. She used to appear on Top of the Pops with no shoes — very avante garde for the time. This was no remix but a total re-recording (anyone remember Neil Sedaka and the two versions of “Breaking Up is Hard to do”?

And then after that, it just kept the same high. . . . Congrats from Bangkok.
